New School Year

We'll were 2wks into the new school year. Everything seems to be going good so far. Just thought I'd give a little update on the boys for those of you that aren't around us all the time. Well start with Logan.

Logan is a 5th grader this year. His teacher is Mrs. Jensen. She's new to his school and was previously teaching Jr. High. That worried me @ first but I went to the school for curriculum night and she seems to be a great teacher. She's very hands on and I think that will be really good for Logan. She is COMPLETELY different than the drill Sergeant he had last year. He's taking orchestra again this year and playing the Violin. After school every Friday for the next 6 wks or so he'll be taking a drawing class which he's really excited about. Outside of school he's been helping a lot at Church on Friday nights. He works in the kitchen, cooking, making the drinks and of course he's the taste tester especially when it comes to desert.

Keith is now a 9th grader........ freshman in High School. He was really nervous the first few days....who wouldn't be with 3000 kids at your school. He seems to have adjusted really well. He is taking guitar as one of his electives. He already knew how to play before he started but this will also teach him to read music. His other elective is ROTC. Which has been great. Definitely different than I thought it would be......lets just say they don't mess around. Eventually he'll have to start wearing a uniform (looks somewhat like the real Air Force Military uniforms) to school one day a week & then he'll have camo's that he'll be required to wear also. He had to buzz his hair and anytime anyone in class says yay instead of yes the entire class does push ups. He said there getting easier...guess that means they've been doing them a lot. Keith just started playing guitar in the youth band at Church and is playing the cajon (which is a acoustic drum thing) on Sat. evenings out in Apache Junction with Levi and some others. Hopefully in December he'll start racing. This year he bumps up classes and will have to start racing Levi's motorcycle. He's really looking forward to that...he's starting his training this week which includes riding, exercise and eating right. (that's what he told me anyway...gotta be prepared I guess)

Well that's a quick glimpse........

Springerville August 2010

Vacation in Springerville, AZ before the kids went back to school. Springerville has been getting so much rain that everything is so green....looks beautiful!
Gathering wood......

1st nights supper.....stew.

Goodnight!
Is it really camping if you watch a movie before bed.....far from roughing it.

Here are some pics of some new friends we meet. The area that we camped the locals do alot of hunting with dogs. (They were hunting bear) We could hear them and we were cooking breakfast one morning and apparently they got side tracked with the smell. Several of them ended up at are camp just hanging out with us. This one must have got tired of hunting....she was such a good dog.
Logan fishing @ Big Lake......he didn't have time to catch anything because the storm rolled in and we had to leave.
It rained everyday we were there so it was pretty muddy. Can you see the big puddle of water.
This is what happens when you play in the puddle.
We had so much fun in the mud......look at all of it on the 4whr.
Time to go home : (

Pool Problems!

We've had nothing but problems with our pool lately. Just to add to the list is our sand filter. It got a crack in it on Sat. and since Levi's been working he hasn't been able to get it fixed. Or should I say replaced. We've had some rain lately and everyone that has a pool knows you have to have that water circulating and the shark in there cleaning or................................
this is what you get when your pool doesn't get cleaned? Anyone want to swim???? YUCK!

New filter going in.
It's working....NO LEAKS!
Yeah...........We can swim again. Now, Does anyone want to swim?
