Skate Park & Swimming 06/20/09

This is one of my least favorite places to be........the skatepark. If you ask me its just a accident waiting to happen. So of course having boys were do you think is one of there favorite places. We've been telling them for several weekends that we'd take them so we did on Saturday.

It was so hot at the skatepark the boys decided to come home and swim.

Anniversary

So I've started getting into scrapbooking or should I say collecting stuff for scrapbooking. You can never have to many embellishments, too much paper or ribbon. Those of you that scrapbook are laughing right now because you know exactly what I mean. I think its like an addiction....anyway mine & Levi's anniversary was on Thursday so I decided to make a picture out of canvas. I saw the idea at a scrapbook convention and have made a few previously for my mom/sis/bro. I used a regular canvas, painted it and added the pic, ribbon, chipboard letters & paper...oh and bling....i just love things that sparkle so I had to put some on there. So here it is.

Visit to New Mexico 06/13/09

We went to Albuquerque to visit my side of the family. While we were there we went on a motorcycle ride up to Jemez....well I guess it was actually past Jemez. What a great ride. Weather was wonderful on the ride up but windy on the way back.....New Mexico wind go figure. We made a few stops along the way to look at some really cool stuff. I'm always in awe of all the beautiful things God gives us that we take for granted.

Here is my sister with all the kids. They followed us while we rode.
My brother Gab & sister-in-law Anita.

Here's Mom & Robert.........................never in my life did I ever think I would ever see my Mom on a motorcycle. Especially after she gave us sooooooooooooo much grief when we got our dirt bikes. Well here she is.....she's quite the biker chic these days.

I wish I would have had someone take one of me & Levi on ours but I didn't so no pics of us.
This is a picture right around Jemez, NM.

1st Stop: This was a really cool waterfall just off the side of the road......cant remember what it was named.

This is right before its starts to drop down into the waterfall.

Me & Levi at the waterfall.

This is Levi & the boys on top of the waterfall. See the little specs on top. Thats my guys. Sorry about the dark spot....guess I need to take a photography class or just get my hand out of the way.
Keith & Logan in another part of the waterfall.....almost looked like that may have been a waterfall at one time. It even had a little bit of water dripping out.

My nephews Jordan & Zachary

This mountain was on the other side of the road from the waterfall.

2nd Stop: This was really cool. This is called Battleship Rock (really didn't look like a battleship to me but is was really pretty) My mom renamed it Cathedral Rock because she says it looks like stained glass because of all the colors..................Mom I don't think you can just rename anything. Funny though........
A close up of Cathedral Rock (I like that name better too) Here you can see more of the colors.
Stream right below Cathedral Rock. Levi and the boys followed the stream a ways jumping from rock to rock. I tried but it wasn't a pretty site and Levi had to help me from rock to rock so I gave up....through the trees was easier.....much easier.
We had such a good time..... thanks Gab for suggesting it. I'm so glad we all got to spend time together....we'll have to do it again soon. We love you guys!
This is the longest trip we've taken on the motorcycle yet. Now were ready to go all over AZ especially now that its going to start getting hot.

Home Depot Kids Workshop-06/06/09

I think we have an artist in the making. Logan just loves to create, paint (anything he can), draw and build. He'll spend hours painting rocks, needless to say we have lots of very colorful rocks around the house and my paints are mysteriously gone. So I decided to sign him up for the Home Depot Kids Workshop.......He loved it. Home Depot has a workshop once a month for kids 5-12 and its free. This month they worked on a box for Father's Day.

Don't you just love the apron. I thought it was super cute......his own little Home Depot Apron. You cant see it in this picture very well but they let them write there names on it just like the employee's do.

Finished product......Levi is using it as a pick holder. Great job Logan......maybe your next project can be a desk for my scraproom?????
