So it's Friday night and were still not done with the room yet.....
Room painted.....check
Shelves painted.....check
New bedding.....check
Special project.......no check (almost)

Here is Levi & Logan painting the bed.....funny story. They had the bed all painted and left it outside to dry. Well we had some birds that came by and used it to sit on......it had bird feet imprints all over it and looked like someone scratched it all up. So they had to sand it all down and paint again.....not happy campers!
Here's the special project. That board that we painted black in the previous post. I'm gonna paint the monster M on it........cheating by using a projector. You'll have to give me a break on that one I'm not an artist.

I traced the M in white colored pencil.....here's what I started with.

Getting started........

First color all done....now to do the shading with a darker color....wish me luck.

So I thought of another project for his room that were going to do and that one hasn't even been started.....stay tuned. Final pics tomm. & then he'll be home (which is what I'm most looking forward to)

Thats all for tonight. Levi still needs to repaint the bed, we need to go get the bedding stuff, finish my idea, hang shelves and then get everything back in. Hope we have enough time to finish.

Surprise for Keith

We'll Keith left for youth camp yesterday afternoon. We already miss him and Logan doesn't know what to do with himself without his big brother. We decided to have a surprise for him when he got back home on Sat. For the whole month of June Logan had summer school and Keith got him to the bus stop and was there waiting for him when he got off. So I wanted to make sure he knew how much Levi & I appreciated him. So were re-doing his room. Since he's now a teenager and likes his own space we decided to make it look more teenagery. Here's a couple of picks of what were starting with.

Tan walls, few shelf for his stuff. Colors were blue/tan.

Fresh coat of paint.....walls are now grey. Were going for the grey with all shelves, bed etc in black.
The lighting in this pic makes the walls look brown but there now grey.
I'll post other pics as we get more done. I have a really cool idea that he'll love if I can pull it off.
